The impact an outstanding teacher has on students is immeasurable. We all remember great teachers from our childhood: those educators who made classrooms comfortable and learning fun. Not all students encounter inspiring and caring teachers, but when they do, it always changes their lives.

Strong teachers committed to students and to learning help build exceptional schools and strengthen our communities. Recognizing that great teachers build great communities, the Golden Apple Foundation has launched Golden Apple Central Illinois (GACI). GACI will promote excellent teaching and great educators and provide programs to improve schools across Central Illinois.
